Ontario Bike Paths:

This is my cycling page, a description of the city trails I've been on around the greater Toronto area. I don't head out to Kelso's in Milton for the spill and chills of mountain biking, or practice for triathlons. Nope, my passion is recreational cycling. The map below links you to the major trails I've been on between Hamilton and Oshawa. Cycling can be dangerous and depending on your skill, some routes (especially those on road) may not be suitable for everyone.

The trail descriptions are written for adults and children will require supervision, helmets, water, and bikes checked (brakes, cables, and tire pressure).

The pictures are an aid to judge the trail types but you must use your own judgment as to the suitably of the trails to your skill.

Many trails run near creeks, streams, and rivers and their flood planes. Check the weather for rain, and be cautious especially during or after a rainfall.

Trails run through beautiful but environmentally sensitive areas. Bikes can cause damage especially after a rain or if you stray from the trail.

Enjoy your ride and don't forget to stop and take in the view.
