Chinguacousy Trail

I have not been on the Chinguacousy (means land of tall pines) trail but I did get a glimpse both at Victoria Park Arena where the trail begins and at Chinguacousy Park at the corner of Queen and Bramalea. Before there was a Peel Region, this area was know as Chinguacousy Township as Mississauga was known as Toronto Township.

Victoria Park

The Chinguacousy trail begins at Victoria Park and takes the path in the picture at the left to Avondale Blvd. From here the path crosses into Aloma Park, or you can take an alternate further west along Avondale into Belmont Park. The paths cross Balmoral Dr then head to Clark where the Belmont Park path heads east to join with the main path cross Clark and runs north beside Central Park Dr. and Knightsbridge Park up to Queen. Cross Queen to Chinguacousy Park.

Trail Map

I haven't been on this trail other than to stop while on my way up to Professor's Lake, so instead of a trail description, I'll offer a snapshot of the trail map taken at Victoria Park.
